Discover handmade animal and wildlife stained glass created by Christine Saunders at Amber Dragons in Somerset.

Wildlife and the natural world provide some of Christine’s strongest artistic inspiration. The collection features stained glass designs based around British animals, birds, woodland scenes, pets and other wildlife, with previous artwork including hares, foxes, herons, dragonflies and individually commissioned animal portraits.

Each piece begins as an original design before being carefully translated into coloured and textured glass. Christine uses the natural qualities of the glass to create movement, depth and changing colour as light passes through the finished artwork.

Animal stained glass makes an individual decorative feature for the home and can also become a particularly meaningful gift. Bespoke pieces can be designed around a favourite animal or pet, making it possible to create artwork with a genuinely personal connection.

If you have a photograph or idea you would like transformed into stained glass, Amber Dragons also accepts bespoke wildlife and pet commissions.

Explore the collection to see original animal stained glass artwork handcrafted in Somerset and inspired by wildlife, nature and the character of the animals themselves.
