Happy New Year 2025 from Christine at Amber Dragons. As a new year begins, it is a wonderful opportunity to thank every customer, collector and supporter who has followed Christine’s stained glass work and trusted Amber Dragons with meaningful commissions.

Thank you for supporting handmade art

Every order placed with an independent artist makes a genuine difference. During the past year, Christine has created stained glass panels, wildlife designs, memorial artwork, decorative gifts and bespoke commissions for homes across the UK.

Many projects began with a simple conversation. Customers shared a favourite animal, landscape, memory or idea, and those details developed into individual designs made by hand in the Somerset studio.

Looking ahead to new stained glass work

In 2025, Amber Dragons will continue exploring the relationship between glass, colour and natural light. Christine plans to develop new wildlife subjects, moonlit scenes, botanical details and imaginative pieces inspired by myth, spirituality and the countryside.

Bespoke commissions will remain an important part of the studio. These may include freestanding panels, window hangings, memorial pieces and artwork designed for doors or architectural spaces.

The value of traditional craftsmanship

Stained glass is a patient process. A design must first be drawn and adapted so that it works structurally. Individual pieces of glass are selected, cut and shaped before being joined. Where required, details are hand-painted and kiln-fired.

This traditional approach means that every completed work carries small variations in texture, colour and reflection. Those differences are not imperfections; they are part of what makes handmade glass distinctive.

Ideas for the year ahead

  • Commission a stained glass panel for a special window or room.
  • Choose a wildlife design connected to a favourite animal or local landscape.
  • Create a personal memorial for a much-loved pet.
  • Give a handmade keepsake for a wedding, anniversary or milestone birthday.
  • Follow Amber Dragons for new designs and behind-the-scenes studio updates.

A bright and creative 2025

Christine wishes everyone a happy, healthy and inspiring New Year. Thank you for helping traditional craft continue to thrive and for allowing Amber Dragons artwork to become part of your homes and stories.
